What You’ll Do

As a Trustee, you will be part of the accountable body that oversees the direction and success of all our academies. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Shaping and ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction across the Trust
  • Holding the executive leadership to account for the educational performance of our schools and the performance management of staff
  • Overseeing the Trust’s financial performance, ensuring that resources are used effectively and efficiently
  • Serving on or contributing to key Board Committees, which support governance in areas such as finance, audit, quality of education, and people and culture
Your Impact
  • Provide strategic challenge and support to help drive educational excellence for all pupils
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Trustees, Local Governing Bodies, senior leaders, and other stakeholders to uphold our mission and values
  • Help shape the future of our Trust by contributing to decisions that benefit our local community and young people
What We’re Looking For

  • Strong personal integrity, commitment, and willingness to devote time: Trustees typically meet four times a year, plus committee work
  • The ability to think strategically, challenge constructively, and work collaboratively
  • A desire to support our Trust’s vision and contribute to its long‑term success
Why Join Us?
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a growing, ambitious Trust
  • Work with a dedicated Board and leadership team who are deeply committed to raising standards and strengthening local education
  • Develop your governance skills and broaden your professional network, while making a tangible impact on young lives
Time Commitment
  • Board meetings: generally four times a year
  • Committee membership and site visits, as needed
  • Trustees usually serve a four‑year term (subject to reappointment)
