A local charity organization in Edinburgh is seeking a Treasurer to oversee its financial health and sustainability. The successful candidate will manage financial records, approve budgets, and advise on strategic plans. Essential qualities include strong financial expertise, commitment to the organization's mission, and effective communication skills. Prior experience in financial leadership is advantageous. This role is integral to supporting families through the organization's activities.
We need an organized treasurer to ensure the financial health and sustainability of Dads Rock enabling us to support more families. They oversee viability, manage records and procedures, approve budgets, and advise on strategy.
Requires financial knowledge and expertise. The Treasurer needs strong financial expertise (budgeting, accounting, controls) to ensure viability and compliance. They need to present complex data clearly, and advise on strategic financial implications.
Commitment to Dads Rock's mission, high integrity, and effective communication.
Previous experience on a Board or in a senior financial leadership role.
We currently have 8 board members with wide ranging experience including banking, HR, third sector, lawyer and marketing professional.
Dads Rock's ambition is to create system change for father inclusive practice with health and social settings where focus is traditionally on mums only. We want services engaging with families to ask the man about his mental health and wellbeing, taking away the stigma and giving him an opportunity to ask for help.
