Qualifications

Pay Rate: £46,000
Grade: O
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday 6am - 16:00pm (but needs to be flexible as will need to cover some evenings / Nights)
Location: Hatfield - AL10 9BD

We're now looking for a Driver Assessor to join our team.

✅ A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
  • Work closely with Transport FLM's, Transport Managers, Asset Management Centre of Excellence and the Transport Development Centre teams to ensure we train our Drivers to be the safest, most efficient and customer focused.
  • Undertake training in order to be able to carry out Ops 35, Ops 35a, Post Incident Assessments & Ops 31/32/33 Familiarisation only + uploading to Tachomaster Training Plus (5 days) Familiarisation to include manufacturers technology for vehicles used on the contract.
  • Support the driver assessment / recruitment process.
  • Professional control and management of all documentation associated with training, ensuring DHL Training records are up to date and that data protection rights are adhered to.
  • To assess and train drivers in line with DHL's policies and procedures, including SMITHS System
  • Support accident and incident investigations, understanding the root cause and drive corrective actions to reduce future risks. Remove this as its activity at Transport trainer Advanced Level
  • Identify/recognise drivers who have made extensive improvements in their roles and responsibilities.

THIS ROLE REQUIRES 2 YEARS CLASS 1 AND DRIVER ASSESSOR EXPERIENCE

  • Previous DHL Driver Assessor experience (Desirable)
  • Driver Trainer / Assessor experience (Essential)
  • Previous experience of working with in a transport operation
  • Ability to facilitate and conduct daily training as and when required, Day late and night shifts
  • Transport Trainer (Ops 35, PIA & Familiarisation) - Essential
