The Role

As a Transformation Programme Manager, you’ll be at the heart of our Mission Systems transformation journey. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a complex SAP integration programme across our business, driving operational excellence and enabling growth. Your work will make a tangible difference to national security and defence, while accelerating your own career development in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment.

Day-to-day, you’ll play a key role in building strong relationships across both our sector and wider Group teams as part of implementing our ambitious strategy. You’ll drive and control change and the role will provide high levels of visibility and responsibility to deliver.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Leading the delivery of transformation programmes, ensuring cost, time, and quality targets are met.
  • Managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from requirements capture to business case development.
  • Identifying and controlling interdependencies across multiple projects.
  • Building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders across a matrix organisation.
  • Driving effective risk management to minimise exposure and ensure successful outcomes.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days onsite and 3 days working from home.

Essential experience of the Transformation Programme Manager
  • Proven experience delivering transformation programmes in complex environments.
  • Background in ERP deployment, ideally SAP.
  • Strong senior stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Leadership experience in a matrix organisation.
Qualifications for the Transformation Programme Manager
  • APM PMQ or equivalent.
  • Agile Practitioner certification.
  • Chartered Project Manager status (advantageous).
