A leading Contract Research Organisation in Blackpool is seeking a Training Coordinator to lead employee development initiatives by designing and delivering training programs. Ideal candidates will hold a degree in Education or related fields, have experience as a Training Coordinator, and be able to manage multiple assignments effectively. Overview

We are seeking to appoint a Training Coordinator to join our dedicated team in Blackpool.

The focus of this role is to lead employee development initiatives through the identification, creation and delivery of creative training events and educational programs.

Key skills, knowledge and qualifications
  • Degree in Education, Training, HR or related field.
  • Advanced organisational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments.
  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role.
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation.
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and web delivery tools.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate).
  • Familiarity with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms.
Responsibilities

Planning

  • Conduct periodic organisation-wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps.
  • Work with department heads and line managers to map out annual training plans.
  • Organise and facilitate the delivery of role specific training in partnership with clinical trainers and subject matter experts.
  • Maintain and develop a system for recording internal training capabilities and subject matter experts.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of study specific training during study set up where required or indicated at the PRAR.
  • Co-ordinate training requirements for clinical raters where required.
  • Develop and co-ordinate the process for study specific ‘Rater Experience Questionnaires’ and the ‘Rater Experience Database’.

Creation

  • Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house).
  • Select appropriate training methods or activities (e.g. simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training, professional development classes).
  • Use known education principles and stay up to date on new training methods and techniques.
  • Design, prepare and order educational aids and materials.
  • Assess instructional effectiveness and determine the impact of training on employee skills and KPIs.
  • Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with experts regarding instructional design.
  • Assist with the development, implementation and upkeep of the Envision learning management system.

Delivery and Record

  • Market available training to employees and provide necessary information about sessions.
  • Conduct specific training sessions in line with own expertise.
  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts.
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment.
  • Research and recommend new training methods.
  • Maintain and oversee training records.
  • Input into SOPs, policies and Quality reports relating to training.

General

  • Compliance with MAC guidelines and policies.

Travel

  • This is a hybrid role based at Blackpool, with some travel to sites across the UK as and when required.
