Central News is looking for trainees with attitude, a bit of aptitude and a bit of shorthand to help us cover London’s crown courts and tribunals. This is not a rewrites job – it’s about using your initiative to work on some of the biggest stories of the day for national newspapers.
You will work closely with experienced editors who will help you develop as a reporter. You should be willing to take pictures where circumstances allow. Ideally you will have at least 60wpm shorthand or be willing to learn it – very quickly.
The position is full-time and it is real court journalism job so working from home is not an option.
