A family-run organization in Barnsley is seeking a passionate Trainee Registered Manager to lead and develop their children's home. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in an Ofsted-regulated home, and a Level 4 qualification in childcare. Location: Barnsley

Salary: £37,700

Working Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with flexibility for sleep-ins when required)

Experience: Essential you have Ofsted Regulated Children’s Home experience and Hold your Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare

This is a small, nurturing solo placement home designed to offer stability, safety, and emotional development for one young person with EBD and trauma-related needs.

💫 Who We Are Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people. And this may suit a Senior or Deputy Manager looking to step up and learn from the Registered Manager.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner or Level 3 Residential Childcare
  • Previous experience supervising RSW or SRSW within an Ofsted-registered children’s home
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and Ofsted frameworks (SCCIF)
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • A valid Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own car
