About the role

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Trainee or Experienced Dental Assistant to join the team at The Fine Tooth Company, a respected dental practice located in Croydon, Victoria. As a full-time role, you will be an integral part of our dedicated dental care team, providing outstanding support to our dentists and ensuring our patients receive the highest level of service.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the dentist during various procedures by ensuring equipment and materials are prepared and readily available
• Sterilising and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
• Welcoming and registering patients, and ensuring a positive patient experience
• Providing chairside support, including making impressions, applying topical anaesthetics and more
• Maintaining accurate patient records and updating clinical documentation
• Undertaking general administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient communications

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant, either in a trainee or qualified role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• A caring and empathetic nature, with the ability to put patients at ease
• Relevant qualifications in dental assisting or a willingness to undertake further training
• Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems
