Overview

MBDA is seeking a Test Development Engineer to contribute to the design, integration and validation of test system hardware solutions as part of the Test Equipment Design Team. This is a full-time role based in Stevenage with dynamic (hybrid) working options where project needs allow.

What you'll do

• Support the design process at all stages, including contribution to design reviews, answering manufacturing queries, performing risk deduction activities, and assisting with integration and validation activities.
• Report into the Technical Lead or Equipment Project Manager.
• Lead on packages of work and manage deliveries that contribute to the overall solution.
• Work in an international environment to broaden expertise and contribute to product delivery.

What we're looking for from you

• Skilled Hardware Design Engineers with proven experience to support the design, integration and validation of test system hardware solutions.
• Knowledge of test needs and techniques in support of product life cycle development.
• A good level of understanding with some experience of Design Proving and performance testing during development.
• A good level of understanding with some experience of Environmental and EMC testing during qualification.
• Strong document writing skills associated with Test Equipment hardware design needs.
• Experience of managing small packages of work is highly desirable.

Location and working arrangements

Location: Stevenage. We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role. Dynamic (hybrid) working: where project needs allow, a blended approach of on-site collaboration and remote work may be accommodated.

Security and eligibility

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo BPSS checks after the offer stage.
