Pay Rates:
- Starting at £14.76 an hour, increasing to £15.97 inside the M25.
- Night premium of £2.35 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6 am.
- Additional payments may apply depending on location.
We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week. If you prefer fewer hours (minimum 12), we still welcome you to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a fast‑paced retail environment.
- Take ownership of running duty shifts, coordinating the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
- Be there for customers, listening and ensuring they leave with what they came for.
- Look for ways to improve service, coaching colleagues and giving feedback.
- Guide and support colleagues in‑store, ensuring a safe place to work and shop.
- Maintain a great understanding of store performance and assist managers in delivering actions that improve operations.
- Lead from the front and set a great example in everything you do.
- Coordinate the store team for an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience.
- Support colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks.
- Open and close the store, completing duty cover and ensuring all decisions are right for safety.
- Act as the go‑to person for day‑to‑day queries in the absence of a manager.
- Keep the store clean, tidy, and well‑presented.
- Assist managers with seasonal, community, and charity events.
- Contribute to an inclusive team atmosphere.
- Provide excellent customer service by listening and putting customers first.
- Keep the team well‑informed on communications, changes, and updates.
- Stay knowledgeable about store performance and look for improvement opportunities.
- Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles to service.
- Follow health and safety routines and procedures.
- Recognise and celebrate colleagues who provide great service.
