Job description

As a Technical Services Analyst you will maintain equipment including CCTV, Telephony, Wi‑Fi, Radio, Alarm and Enquiry systems, Public Announcement equipment, trunk cables, power supplies, fibre optic cabling and termination, workstations, server infrastructure and other comparable equipment.

Typical Day

Home Base: Our South Gosforth infrastructure office.

Shift Pattern: 4 days from 5 during the week on day shift and night shift. There will also be on call cover over the weekends.

Your Mission:
  • Fine‑tune, fix, and maintain a wide variety of hardware and assets. Working indoor and out. Your practical skills and technical knowledge will keep critical systems and connections up and running.
  • You’ll be a field‑based Technician working across all Nexus locations across the north east including all 60 Metro stations.
  • Meet customers, collaborate with colleagues, and keep things running smoothly.
  • Bonus: You’ll get involved in exciting updates and projects to sharpen your skills and stay ahead of the game.We’ll kit you out with all the PPE, tools, and equipment you need to succeed.
About You
  • Served a recognised apprenticeship
  • Electrical/electronic BTC/ONC or equivalent
  • Tech‑savvy with distributed systems and end‑point devices
  • Able to prioritise and work independently
  • Experience with problem solving on electrical equipment
  • Driving licence

You’ll join a close‑knit Technical Services team of 13, part of the wider ICT maintenance and operations family. You’ll work alongside 9 other technicians and report to the Technical Services Supervisor.
