Technical Project Engineer – SharePoint & Power Platform

Location: Remote / Hybrid
Department: Cloud Engineering / Modern Workplace
Reports To: Head of Cloud Delivery

Salary: £40k Plus £450pm Car Allowance Plus Benefits

About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Technical Project Engineer with deep expertise in SharePoint Online and the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys solving complex technical challenges, and can deliver high‑quality solutions that transform the way our customers work.

As part of our Cloud Engineering function, you’ll design, build, and deliver Microsoft Modern Workplace solutions end‑to‑end, working closely with customers, project managers, and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
Solution Design & Delivery
  • Lead the technical design of SharePoint Online and Power Platform solutions.
  • Develop modern SharePoint sites, information architectures, automation, workflows, and governance frameworks.
  • Build Power Apps (Canvas / Model‑Driven) and end‑to‑end business automations using Power Automate.
  • Deliver high‑quality work across the full project lifecycle: discovery, design, build, testing, deployment, and support.
  • Execute data and content migrations into SharePoint using industry‑standard tools.
Customer Engagement
  • Run customer workshops, requirements sessions, and technical presentations.
  • Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions and documentation.
  • Provide guidance on Microsoft 365 governance, compliance, and best practices.
Collaboration & Technical Leadership
  • Act as the subject matter expert for SharePoint and Power Platform within project teams.
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex technical challenges.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Engineers, Support Teams, Pre‑Sales, and Project Managers.
  • Support internal knowledge sharing through documentation, standards, and mentoring.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Experience
SharePoint Online
  • Strong experience designing and deploying modern SharePoint solutions.
  • Skilled in configuring sites, libraries, permissions, metadata, content types, and automation.
  • Experience with file and site migrations (ShareGate, Mover, or Microsoft Migration Manager).
Power Platform
  • Hands‑on experience building Power Apps (Canvas/Model‑Driven) and Power Automate flows.
  • Understanding of Dataverse, connectors, solution deployment, and licensing.
  • Ability to build production‑ready business applications and automation solutions.
Microsoft 365
  • Solid understanding of Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD identity, and compliance features.
  • Experience with security, governance, data retention, and lifecycle management.
Technical Skills & Competencies
  • Strong troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Good PowerShell familiarity for automation (desirable).
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with strong documentation discipline.
  • Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Power Pages experience.
  • Power BI report development.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric or wider data‑platform technologies.
  • Exposure to API‑based integrations, logic apps, and enterprise automation.
