Salary:£12.83 to £13.03 Hour thehigher rate is offered to those holding a level 3 qualification or above in health & social care or adult lead care.

Overview of the role

The role of the Team Leader is to provide support and guidance to a team of social care workers, whilst making sure you always provide the highest level of care and leadby example. You will also liaise with the Assistant Team Leader(s)in the servicereporting any matters of concern.You must have experience in the care sector and have the willingness to learn and expand on your previous knowledge. Not only will you make a huge difference topeople’s lives, but you’ll be able to enjoy days out, trips away and join in with many more activities, all of which ensures the people we work with are safe, happy and lead fulfilling lives.

All Team Leadersat this service must already have or commit to undertaking a Level 3Diploma in Health and Social Care qualification.There is also a need to take part in the on call reponse for the service.

Key duties
  • Taking the lead withsupporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs in a residential care environment
  • Supervising a team and assisting withthe overall management of the service
  • Liaising with managers and other shift leaders
  • Executing any tasks allocatedin a professional, timely and accuratemanner
  • Supervisingand sharingmealtimes with those we care forto encourage a positive attitude towards food and dining
  • Assisting those we care for in their daily activitieswhether this be in or away from the service
  • Using your initiative when supporting those we care forduring their activities and with day-to-day tasks

Where will youwork?

This service is provided by Witham Valley Care, our sister company in Lincoln. This residential service provides 24 hour care for 6 adults with a learning disability and/or autism and challenging behaviours. The home is situated in a fully converted and updated farmhouse. Village Farm has six individual en-suite bedrooms as well as communal space including a lounge, dining room and games room/ second lounge. The home has a family feel with the individuals living here encouraged to participate in the day-to-day running of their home.
