Job summary

An educational institution in the United Kingdom seeks an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will assist students, including those with special educational needs, to maximize their access to the curriculum and support the Academy's behaviour policy. Teaching Assistant – Pilgrim Academy

Fixed Term until 31 August 2026 – 32.5 hours per week

Term time + Inset days (195 days per year)

Salary: £25,550 – LGAT 5 – FTE

Actual Salary: £19,034.75

We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate Teaching Assistant to join our academy.

  • Assist students, including those with SEN, to maximise access to the curriculum
  • Work under the direction of the teacher in a class‑based environment using teaching aids and other methods of support
  • Help support and promote the Academy behaviour policy

Whilst experience is not necessary, you must have a good standard of literacy, be adaptable and willing to be involved in all aspects of school life, have a calm manner and be able to work as part of a team.
