A leading educational institution in the UK seeks a passionate Teaching Assistant + MDSA to support children's learning and development at Chirton C of E Primary School. You'll play a vital role in promoting self-esteem and helping with key areas like language and reading. The working hours for this role are expected to be 12:00 - 15:15, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is 19th January 2026.
Chirton C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint a passionate and committed Teaching Assistant + MDSA. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
In this role, your duties and responsibilities will include developing methods of promoting/reinforcing the children's self‑esteem and independence. Assist children with key areas, e.g. language, reading, spelling, handwriting and presentation. As specified by the Class Teacher, develop appropriate resources to support children while developing strategies to support their learning, identifying the specific needs of individual children. The successful candidate will be able to confidently communicate and be able to provide regular feedback about children to the class teacher. You will have the opportunity to reinforce the school ethos, e.g. expectations of behaviour within class and elsewhere on the school site.

This role will involve contact with children, and the post holder will be engaged in regulated activity relevant to children and will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check before appointment is confirmed.
