Job description

We are recruiting a full time learning support assistant. Experience of working with children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs and/or autism would be desirable. You will be based within a single class group, working alongside a teacher and another LSA to help the pupils achieve their full potential.

Therole could involve working across the age range from Y3 to Y11.

Pupils can at times present with challenging behaviour, so the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and confident team player who is able to demonstrate previous success in working with children and young people. The successful candidate will be be able to evidence their own initiative to support successful learning, supporting our pupils to overcome their barriers to learning. You should also have strong behaviour management skills balanced with a calm and caring manner.

Regular training is provided to support staff in develping their skills.

Applicants should have a GSCE in English and maths with grade C or equivalent.
