About the Role

Bassingbourn Village College, part of Anglian Learning, is seeking an inspiring and committed Teacher of Science to join our thriving and forward-thinking school community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to shape engaging learning experiences, contribute to curriculum development, and support pupils to achieve exceptional outcomes. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality Science teaching and driving positive progress across the department.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inclusive Science lessons.
Contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and departmental strategy.
Track pupil progress, set clear targets, and implement effective interventions where needed.
Promote high standards of behaviour for learning and uphold school behaviour policies.
Communicate effectively with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
Take part in whole-school events such as Open Evenings and Parents’ Evenings.
Engage actively in professional development and contribute to ongoing school improvement.
Support pupils with guidance on options, future pathways, and progression.
Participate in quality assurance processes to drive continuous improvement.
