We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Female PE to join our well-resourced PE department from February 2026 for a one-year fixed-term maternity cover.

Main Responsibilities
  • To teach Physical Education across the ability range in line with departmental scheme of work and policies
  • To contribute towards the extra-curricular activities offered by the PE department.
  • To be Form Tutor of an assigned form and to carry out related duties in accordance with the general job description of Form Tutor.
  • To carry out a share of supervisory duties in accordance with published rosters.
  • To participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents relative to the above duties.
  • To plan and develop high quality lessons and courses, using a variety of approaches, to continually enhance teaching and learning.
  • To maintain and build upon the standards achieved in the award for QTS (Secondary) as set out by the Secretary of State.

The duties above are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the postholder may be required by the Headteacher to carry out appropriate duties within the context of the job, skills and grade.
