Systems Engineer – Suffolk County Council

Location: Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP1 2BX (Hybrid working)

Salary: £34,434 per annum (pro rata for part‑time)

Hours: 37 per week, flexible working options available

Contract: Permanent

Job Description

The IT department at Suffolk County Council supports six directorates – Adult Social Care, Children and Young People Services, Corporate Services, Fire and Public Safety, Growth Highways and Infrastructure, and Public Health and Communities. We are looking for motivated individuals to support the delivery of public services in Suffolk.

Your Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead on providing solutions to queries regarding Children and Young People Services applications and software.
  • Channel requests for help to appropriate functions for resolution.
  • Monitor progress of calls and keep users informed.
  • Provide technical support within a Windows Server environment.

The Team

The IT Service, part of the Corporate Services directorate, provides and supports Suffolk County Council’s technology requirements. You will work alongside experts in network, server, storage, applications, devices, cybersecurity and first‑line support.
