At Milestones Trust, we understand that to build the right support for a person we need to understand their individual care needs, wants, and ambitions and to adapt to their changing circumstances and desires as they progress through life.
Felix House is a 24 hour residential nursing service for 11 adults with enduring mental health and support needs.
At Felix House we support people to manage and maintain their mental health and wellbeing, and learn skills required to regain their independence and empower them to move on to more independent accommodation.
Experience within the sector is desirable but not essential, as we will provide you with training required to carry out your duties. If you have good values, are kind and compassionate and want to make a difference in peoples’ lives, we want you.
As a night support worker, your duties will include supporting positive sleep hygiene, promoting emotional support, monitoring health and wellbeing, record keeping and engaging in a variety of infection control tasks to maintain infection control standards within the service. You will be required to engage in staff meetings and regular supervisions with your line manager, which will be held within office hours at least once a month.
You will ensure that the people we support are at the centre of their support package. This may include accessing the in-house development programme that includes bite-sized workshops, like IT skills, life skills, relaxation techniques, healthy eating and exercise.
You will also support them in developing and maintaining relationships with family and friends, and accessing external programmes and activities, such as bush craft, job skills, volunteering, assertiveness skills and art and woodwork classes.

The successful Support Worker will have a caring manner and a tolerant nature, be able to work proactively, both collaboratively with the team and lone working, while supporting the people to meet their goals and aspirations in the community setting.
