Job description

Mencap is seeking a Support Worker to join our incredible team in Redruth.

As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. A driver is essential for this role.

From assisting with daily activities to providing emotional support, you’ll play a vital role in their life.

You will be supporting one older gentleman in his own home. Daily activities can include going out for a drive, completing shopping, going for walks, helping the person we support bake at home, or having a relaxing day!

What we're looking for
  • A genuine passion for supporting others.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A positive and empathetic attitude towards individuals with learning disabilities.
Contract options

Part Time: 29 hours

Days: Between 07:30/08:30 until 21:30/22:30, Split shifts also available finishing at 16:00, or starting at 16:00

All our services are 24hr care. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
