A leading support organisation in Oswestry & Bridgnorth seeks a compassionate Support Worker to assist individuals with learning disabilities. Responsibilities include promoting independence, encouraging community engagement, and administering medication. Essential skills include a respectful, person-centred approach and the ability to work shifts. Competitive salary with additional earning potential through sleep-in shifts and overtime opportunities.
Location: Oswestry & Bridgnorth, Shropshire
Hours: Full-Time or Part-Time
Salary: £12.21 per hour / £25,466 per annum

We’re recruiting Support Workers to join our welcoming teams in Oswestry and Bridgnorth. Whether you’re new to care or bring experience, you’ll be making a real difference every day.
One home supports three women who enjoy arts and crafts, sensory activities, shopping, and family holidays.
The other supports a man and a woman who love music, jigsaws, theatre trips, and meals out. Support needs include epilepsy, diabetes, dysphagia, dementia, and personal care. You’ll be part of calm, encouraging teams promoting independence and wellbeing.
Activities include swimming, sailing, karaoke, and community outings.
You’ll help with daily routines, personal care, and life skills like cooking and DIY. Mobility and travel are essential due to limited public transport.
Supporting people with daily routines and personal care.

Promoting hobbies, interests, and community engagement.
Administering medication and responding to health needs.
Working shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins (no waking nights in Oswestry).

Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
QCF Level 2 in Health and Social Care.
Driving licence (especially for Bridgnorth).
