A specialist mental health service provider in Blackburn is seeking passionate Care & Support Workers to deliver outstanding care for d/Deaf service users. This full-time role requires native British Sign Language skills or a willingness to obtain Level 2 certification. You'll provide essential support in a new rehabilitation service for d/Deaf individuals, emphasizing mental health recovery. The position offers a salary of £13.85 per hour along with opportunities for ongoing training and flexible working arrangements.

We are looking for confident Care & Support Workers with the passion to both deliver outstanding care, alongsidekens a role in empowering d/Deaf service users to access the same recovery opportunities as their hearing peers.
You will be working Full time (42 hours per week) across a mixed shift pattern of 3/4 12 hour shifts per week with a focus on supporting our d/Deaf (profound, severe, partial or hard of hearing) service users with mental health needs, inside our new Deaf community step down setting in Blackburn.
This role requires native British Sign Language usage or a minimum Signature Level 2 as it is a deaf service.
Note: We are also able to offer BSL Signature Level 2 training within our nearby Bury Dunes Hospital for candidates who are passionate about building a career within our d/Deaf services.
Vincent Court is a five-bed community rehabilitation (level 1) service for deaf men who have been able to progress through the hospital pathway at Cygnet Bury Dunes (Bridgehampton Ward).
We also accept referrals from other high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) services, other Low Secure services as well as directly from the community.
We offer a safe, comfortable and homely setting that enables individuals to focus on their continued recovery and transition back into a successful and more independent lifestyle – with the advantage of continuing to access the same multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at Cygnet Bury Dunes (Bridgehampton Ward). This service is due to open in within the next few months.
