Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role:

Who will you be supporting?

  • Ages between 46 and 66
  • Mostly mobile but some need a little assistance out and about
  • Challenges include visual and hearing impairment, autism and learning disabilities
  • Staff team is trained and familiar with supporting similar needs
Where do we live?
  • Widnes
  • Nice town centre with lots of shops and supermarkets
  • Bus route close to our property and near the local train station
What do we enjoy doing and what is important to us?
  • Outdoor activities, including rambling and walking
  • Listening to music, visiting trendy coffee shops, KFC and our local shopping centre, home baking and the odd wine bar pub or two
  • Fun‑loving, kind, caring, considerate, respectful of others’ personal space and belongings, love of music
  • We would not enjoy spending time with people who are bossy, pushy, running around, shouting or very noisy as it would tend to make a few of us upset and anxious
Other important information?
  • There is always at least 2 colleagues on shift
  • We like our staff to work mornings from as early as 7am to afternoons and as late as 10:30pm, including Sleep‑In shift
  • Our team has specialist training in autism and learning disabilities to support us in having the Best Life Possible
