A charity organization in Inverness is seeking a Support Worker to join their Supported Accommodation programme. This role involves providing emotional and practical support to young people facing homelessness, helping them build life skills for independence. Candidates should possess a compassionate nature and excellent communication skills. The position offers a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern and numerous employee benefits.
We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our Supported Accommodation programme based in Inverness.
Supported Accommodation Inverness provides 24‑hour accommodation for care experienced young people aged 16‑26 who are leaving care or at risk of homelessness.
The Support Worker will provide support in a person‑centred manner meeting the needs of the young people that we support as well as providing emotional and practical support which is aimed at nurturing essential life skills and promoting independence.
This is a maternity cover post for a period of 9‑months.
Shifts are worked on a 4 on, 4 off basis:
2 x 9am to 9pm
2 x 6pm to 11pm, sleepover till 8am, one waking hour till 9am

We’re looking for someone that has an understanding what people are going through when facing homelessness and how this affects their day‑to‑day lives, as well as the effects of trauma. We also need you to have a compassionate nature, be non‑judgemental and you will be an excellent communicator and be able to build trusting relationships with the young people we support.
