Job description

Looking for a rewarding new part‑time job to kick start your 2026, then look no further! We’re seeking a caring, compassionate, patient, female colleague with a good sense of humour to join our fabulous #TeamKinross on a part‑time (11 hours per week) basis.

Our team and the individual we support

The great thing about this job is that no two days are ever the same. You'll be part of a small, fun, friendly team supporting an amazing young lady with a mild learning disability and PTSD. Your main aim will be to provide support with all aspects of daily living, and to help her socialise, maintain relationships and live independently.

You'll play a huge part in helping her realise her potential, reach her goals, learn new skills and take an active role in her local community, and participate in her hobbies and interests – animals, a cat, horses, walks, knitting, gardening, music, shopping, TV and films.

Shift Patterns

Our 22 hours per week contract will typically involve working one shift per week. The shift may include a sleep‑over. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis.

Sleep‑overs do not form part of your contracted hours. For every sleep‑over you work, you will receive an additional payment of £100.80.

About You

You don’t need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills and will give you all the training you’ll need if you’re successful. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and yearly SSSC registration fees too! However, for these particular vacancies, we are ideally looking for drivers, but this isn’t a deal‑breaker for the right candidates.

All we’ll need you to bring
  • A caring and compassionate attitude and approach
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • A creative drive to improve the lives of the individuals you support
  • Confidence in the use of computers
  • A love of animals as this young lady has a cat who lives in the household

It would also be great if you have a full driving licence, however this isn’t a deal‑breaker for the right candidate.

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today – we can’t wait to hear from you! We are looking to fill this vacancy as soon as possible, so reserve the right to close our advert early if we find a suitable candidate before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
