The Role and the people you will support

You will be joining a dedicated team of Support Practitioners providing support 10 individuals within a twenty-four-hour housing support service in Bridgeton. The people we support have learning disabilities and other complex health and support needs; with a focus on maintaining and promoting independence, as a Support Practitioner, you will work in a person-centred way to provide support in all aspects of daily living, including personal care, cooking and helping them to take care of their home.

The ladies we support enjoy nothing more than a good pamper session by having their nails done and getting a massage. They also enjoy going out for a spot of lunch followed by some shopping, attending the ARC club and one of our ladies goes to a writing class once a week.

The gentlemen also enjoy getting out and about going on day trips further afield to places like Dundee or Edinburgh. When not out exploring, they also enjoy going to parties and events within the local community.

To be a great Support Practitioner, you will be:

You don't need experience in care as a Support Worker or qualifications to start your career with us, we recruit on values and transferable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills that you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ qualification too!

Shift Patterns

Our team provides support twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, following a four-week rolling rota. If you’re successful in joining our team, you will be expected to work a combination of longer and shorter day shifts and sleepovers. Our team have an assortment of shift patterns tailored to suit the needs of the people we support between 7am and 10pm (which includes a sleepover to the following day).

Sleepovers don't form part of your contacted hours so you will receive an additional payment for your sleepover work!
