A community support organization in Cumbernauld is seeking Support Practitioners to assist individuals in daily living activities. We’re now on the look out for our 2026 future stars! Our #TeamNLCumbernauld are on the lookout for respectful, patient, and understanding individuals with great attention to detail to join their team as Support Practitioners on a permanent part-time basis.
This role will cover the Cumbernauld area of North Lanarkshire where you’ll be supporting young people in community settings and older people in their own homes.
As a Support Practitioner, you’ll provide support in all aspects of daily living, including meal preparation, attending appointments, going shopping, maintaining their home, personal care and administering medication.
With a focus on building and maintaining independence, you’ll take an active part in helping support a daily routine to help pursue their hobbies. The people we support enjoy a busy social life and love getting involved in their community going swimming, bowling and out to the cinema. They also attend art therapy and exercise glasses with a keen interest in video gaming!
For this role, we will need you to have a full UK manual drivers licence with at least one year experience on the roads.
You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. We'll pay you for your training and give you all the practical skills you’ll need. We'll even put you through your SVQ qualification too!

As we’re dedicated to provide tailored support, shifts vary from 5 to 8 hours typically starting from 9am 7 days a week and include weekends and public holidays.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
