Job Description

JOB GOAL

The OITS Specialist ensures that all application-related issues are promptly resolved and prevented, maintaining the highest service level at all times. The goal is to achieve a zero-touch order-to-cash process.

Responsibilities / Key activities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize EDI maps; validate and ensure the accuracy of EDI data; troubleshoot and resolve EDI-related issues.
  • Ensure all customer Idocs are received properly; log and investigate incidents and problems; re-process as needed (Daily).
  • Onboard customers onto EDI; understand their needs and requirements.
  • Manage and implement new interfaces and changes.
  • Lead system upgrades and changes affecting the OTC process in existing information systems.
  • Monitor zero-touch execution of OTC processes; take corrective actions through DTM or other tools.
  • Develop procedures and standards for local external and internal service providers.
  • Investigate customer credits; ensure month-end processes are completed; work cross-functionally to reduce credits.
  • Conduct audit control and ensure compliance (monthly and annually).
  • Support testing and implementation; liaise with Accenture, local IT, and third-party providers.
  • Monitor release calendar; coordinate local system upgrades.
  • Perform supportive tasks assigned to OITS daily.
  • Participate as Subject Matter Expert in local or global projects (including weekly/monthly calls).
  • Provide holiday and sickness cover for critical accounts.

Critical Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in application support or as a key user.
  • Knowledge of SAP and application integration.
  • Participation in an international ERP (SAP) project.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
  • Good understanding of SAP and middleware integration (XI, VAN, etc.).
  • Experience with ERP systems and process integration.
  • Knowledge of supply chain/order-to-cash business processes.
  • Excellent understanding of EDI systems.
  • Problem-solving and root cause analysis skills; continuous improvement mindset.
  • Data analytics and reporting skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Ability to lead and embrace organizational change.
  • Experience with system configuration and/or development is a prerequisite.
