About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for retail professionals to join the Finisterre team at our fantastic Covent Garden store. The role of Supervisor is an entry point into management within our retail development path. You will lead by example to drive sales through exceptional customer service and high store standards, while also ensuring operational processes run smoothly and efficiently. Supporting the management team in the day-to-day running of the store, you will take responsibility for key areas in the store which include operations, visual merchandising, community and customer experience. In doing so, you will be enabling the team to meet store targets and KPIs while being proficient in all aspects of store operations.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Experience
  • Be a role model for your team and influence others to deliver exceptional customer service and support team members with continued shop floor training
  • Support the management team to deliver product training ensuring the team is fully versed in all our product point of difference
  • Support others to deliver an inspiring and engaging atmosphere, encouraging others to build relationships with our loyal and new customer base and Finisterre community.
  • Use your best judgment in all customer service matters, making appropriate decisions where necessary with a strong customer focus.
Operations
  • Responsible as required for the open and closure of the store, making sure all store assets and the site are fully secured
  • Accurately follow cash management procedures and make sure all cash handling is documented and signed for.
  • Manage all aspects of stock control, deliveries, transfers, replenishment, and returns - ensuring accuracy and minimal shrinkage
  • Maintain organised and efficient back‑of‑house areas to support quick and accurate product replenishment
  • Implement and monitor operational checklists to ensure all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed. Conduct regular Health & Safety checks and ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Deliver training sessions for team members on operational procedures, compliance standards, and best practices with regularly coaching for retail crew on process to improve store operational excellence
  • Support the planning and delivery of store events and community initiatives, helping to strengthen customer relationships and our presence within the local community
Commercial
  • Motivate and influence the team to deliver daily targets and KPI'S under your leadership
  • Demonstrate and encourage others to maximize sales potential, using our multi‑channel offering effectively
  • Assist in the analysis of the RCA report, contribute to the weekly trade feedback and share commercial ideas which will positively impact trade.
  • Run the store efficiently and manage the shop floor effectively in the absence of management team.
People
  • Be a positive and respectful role model, always communicate positively regarding the store, management and company strategies
  • Assist management with all store training, giving feedback and making suggestions to help support the development of the team.
  • Create a positive and open relationship with the management team and feedback any needs or concerns from team members
  • Build relationships and communicate with the appropriate people in Wheal Kitty
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a leadership role within a customer focused environment
  • A strong understanding of exceptional customer service
  • Good Experience in working towards targets and KPI'S
  • Good knowledge of retail operations and procedures
