A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced Production Planning Manager in Greater Manchester. This pivotal role involves leading a team to ensure efficient production scheduling, demand forecasting, and capacity optimisation. Key responsibilities include enhancing planning processes, collaborating with operations, and managing ERP data. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in production planning, a deep understanding of supply chain operations, and proficiency in ERP systems. Qualifications

  • Proven management or supervisory experience in Production Planning.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain operations.
  • Experience leading or contributing to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (IFS or SAP preferred).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Production Planning team.
  • Evaluate and refine planning processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Operations to optimise production strategies.
  • Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and forecasting.
  • Manage ERP system data to support decision-making.
  • Work with Procurement to manage stock levels.
  • Champion sustainable working practices across planning activities.

Skills

Management or supervisory experience in Production Planning
Understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain operations
Experience in Sales & Operations Planning
Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (IFS or SAP)
