Selecta is the largest provider of unattended self-serve coffee and convenience food in Europe, leading the way in vending solutions and specialist coffee services. We are hiring a Static Service Engineer to join our Technical department and provide high quality service to all customers and actively contribute to the overall improvements to the business by servicing and maintaining equipment to a high standard.

As a Service Engineer your goal is to limit the volume of equipment failure through correct service and maintenance, ensuring that the business receives zero client complaints regarding technical reliability for machines within your area of responsibility.

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is based at a static site located just a 5‑minute walk from Liverpool Street Station. A company vehicle is not provided, as all work will be carried out on‑site. Stock and supplies will be available on‑site for servicing the machines.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair faults on a complete range of vending equipment.
  • Ensure that work is completed at the first visit, with any necessary return visit carried out at the soonest opportunity.
  • Review multiple fault equipment and prioritize machines with persistent breakdowns for repair.
  • Maintain access to technical manuals/documentation relevant to the equipment you are servicing/maintaining.
  • Attend various training courses to maintain the highest standard of workmanship.
  • Maintain good customer relations with a pleasant manner at all times and adhere to customer procedures and health & safety policies where appropriate.
  • Respond to potential customer dissatisfaction by repairing the machine or seeking assistance from senior engineers/service managers.

  • Strong electrical knowledge/experience, demonstrated through practical work experience or an electrical qualification.
  • Technical background with strong fault‑finding and diagnosis skills.
  • Awareness of how to work safely on electrical equipment.
