6th Romsey (Lockerley) Scout Group is seeking enthusiastic Squirrel Scout Volunteers to work with children aged 4–6. This rewarding role is all about bringing fun, creativity, and adventure to our youngest Scouts and helping them take their very first steps in their Scouting journey.

About the Role

As a Squirrel Scout Volunteer, you’ll help create exciting weekly sessions that spark curiosity and confidence. Working alongside experienced leaders, you’ll support a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where young people can explore, play, and learn skills for life.

You Will
  • Support the planning and delivery of Squirrel Scout sessions
  • Help 4–6 year olds feel welcome, safe, and supported
  • Lead and assist with activities such as crafts, games, outdoor play, and simple adventures
  • Encourage creativity, teamwork, and confidence
  • Work as part of a friendly volunteer team
  • No previous experience is needed—full training and ongoing support are provided.
