Job description
Position Overview

Specialist Podiatrist at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust, located in the scenic Lake District Fells. The department has been shortlisted for the CAHPO awards 2025 for digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Triage and treat a variety of podiatric problems, including high‑risk, biomechanics and nail surgery caseloads.
  • Provide foot health education to patients and stakeholders.
  • Prioritise and manage workload; provide clinical supervision to less experienced podiatrists and podiatry assistants.
  • Implement individual treatment plans for long‑term, neurological, vascular conditions, wound management/sharp debridement, biomechanical assessment, manufacture of orthoses and nail surgery.
  • Discharge patients following established criteria.
  • Deliver educational packages to podiatry colleagues and the wider healthcare team.
  • Uphold North Cumbria Integrated Care Trust values and contribute to a positive patient experience.
Qualifications & Experience

B6 podiatrist (or equivalent) with high interpersonal and organisational skills, a sense of humour, and team focus. Experience with advanced specialist podiatry, biomechanics and nail surgery is required.
