A community health service provider in Leicester seeks a motivated nurse for their Community Specialist Palliative Care team. The role involves providing care to patients within their homes and clinics, supporting a Palliative Care Co-ordination Centre, and participating in the training of professionals. Ideal candidates will have a nursing degree, proven palliative care experience, and excellent interpersonal skills. We are looking to appoint a dynamic experienced and highly motivated nurse to join our Community Specialist Palliative Care team. This is part of an Integrated Community Specialist Palliative Care Service (ICSPC) across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland based in Leicester and East Leicestershire.
The team participate in training programmes for other professionals and there will be opportunities for self-development, involvement in service development and clinical audit.
As well as seeing patients in their own homes or clinic spaces this post holder will support a Specialist Palliative Care Co-ordination Centre and provide specialist planned and urgent care to patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses.
