Main duties of the job
  • Perform specialist physio-therapeutic assessment of patients with diverse neurological presentations to provide a therapeutic diagnosis and develop and deliver a specialised individual treatment programme.
  • To undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Participate in CPD and other departmental activities.
  • Supervise neurorehabilitation team.
  • To be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your work, including managing patients in your care and working without direct supervision.
  • Maintain respiratory competencies to facilitate participation in out of hours service as required
  • To deputise for the Band 7 in their absence.
  • Good time management, good organisational skills, a flexible approach, effective interpersonal skills, and problem-solving ability are required.
  • Undertake evidence-based audit and research projects to further own and teams practice within the department.
  • Work within Trust Guidelines and CSP Guidelines.
  • To participate in the evening, weekend and statutory holiday on-call duties.
