Job description
Overview

Papaya Global is a rapidly growing, award-winning B2B tech unicorn with an ambitious mission to revolutionize the payroll & payments industry. With over $400M raised from multiple tier-one investors, our innovative technology provides a comprehensive solution for managing global workforces, encompassing everything from hiring and onboarding to managing and paying employees in over 160 countries.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to join our integration team and take a leading role in client onboarding, data integration setup, and technical enablement. This role bridges the gap between client needs and our platform capabilities, ensuring accurate data configurations, smooth onboarding, and empowered self-service for clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead client onboarding for integrations, focusing on data structure analysis, configuration, and validation.
  • Collaborate directly with client-side integration owners to understand data sources, field mappings, and workflows.
  • Design, configure, and test data integrations between client systems (HCM, payroll, etc.) and our platform.
  • Educate clients on self-service integration tools, enabling them to manage routine changes independently.
  • Partner with Product and Support teams to resolve complex integration issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Contribute to product feedback loops, suggesting enhancements that improve integration speed, accuracy, and usability.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years in a Solution Architect, Integration Consultant, or Technical Implementation role (preferably in HR tech, payroll, or SaaS).
  • Strong understanding of data integration concepts, file formats (CSV, Excel), and API-based workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing, plus ability to read and analyze technical logs.
  • Familiarity with log analytics tools (e.g., DataDog, Coralogix, Splunk) – advantage.
  • Basic database skills (relational and document); experience with MongoDB, MariaDB, or MySQL – advantage.
  • Skilled in diagnosing and resolving data transformation/validation issues.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, translating technical concepts into clear guidance.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Experience with HCM platforms (e.g., BambooHR, Workday) – advantage.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem solving and ownership.
