Working closely with DevOps engineers and other product roles, the role holder will be responsible for delivering high-value test automation, acting as an expert practitioner and ambassador for quality, and enabling early testing in a CI/CD environment.This is an exciting time to join the team and make a tangible difference to the products and services our staff, students and administrators rely on.**Essential Attributes/Qualities*** Highly proficient in Python* Able to produce fast, reliable and repeatable tests that enable CI/CD* Hands-on experience in writing, maintaining and executing test automation using PyTest* Creating scripts that have been designed to run across multiple platforms, devices and browsers with very little intervention* Ability to significantly grow test automation provision* Ability to create powerful and compelling, easy-to-understand data and dashboards that demonstrate the value of test automation* Ability to prioritise effectively. We cannot test everything. We cannot automate everything we test. Knowing what to automate and how to automate it will be critical to success.* Clear understanding of test data management and the role it plays in successful automation* Focus on quality and scalability as well as the ability to efficiently and effectively troubleshoot and fix framework issues to ensure minimum downtime of our testing services.* Determination, flexibility and pragmatism.
