Overview

Software Engineer I - Frontend Focus (Viator) role at Viator. This frontend-focused full-stack position involves primarily frontend work with some backend projects from time to time. You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers across the full software lifecycle from design to deployment.

The Viator Experiences Engineering team is distributed across Europe and is responsible for viator.com, the Viator mobile apps and all their supporting infrastructure. We run the systems that help operators build their businesses and enable third parties to utilise our inventory. We provide the tools which help our customer services team provide world class service to travellers and operators internationally.

Within Viator we have a fun and friendly environment where the objective is getting things done. Most of our engineers release code to production every few days with a daily release cycle. Our web stack includes Java, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, Kubernetes, SQL and NoSQL databases, and runs on AWS. You should have experience with a statically typed, object-oriented language such as Java, C#, or C++, and hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. You don’t need experience with everything listed, but you must be eager to learn.
