We are looking for a Selenium QA engineer to work onsite in Debden (IG10) Monday‑Friday. Hybrid or remote working is not available. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a sub‑60‑minute each‑way commute time.

Purpose
To ensure the quality of customer applications through manual and automated testing.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the Selenium test suite, creating new tests and refining existing ones.
- Implement upgrades to the Selenium test framework to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of the frontend website across various platforms, including desktops, mobile devices, and tablets.
- Verify the functionality of the backend "admin" features on popular web browsers such as Chrome and Firefox.
- Conduct comprehensive testing of various APIs used by affiliates and other third‑party service providers.
- Perform testing on automation jobs.
- Respond to inquiries and address concerns raised by agents and senior management through the development team support mailbox as needed.
- Regularly monitor error logs to detect and report any issues occurring within the live environment.
- Analyse user interaction videos to identify potential usability or functionality issues.
- Ensure timely and predictable software releases, promptly communicating any impediments to the release process.
- Participate in scrum meetings and client briefings to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Commit to performing to high standards, acting with integrity, due care, skill and diligence, and being open and cooperative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulators, paying due regard to customers’ interests and treating them fairly.
- Understand the requirements of Principle 12 (Consumer Duty), specifically relating to products and services meeting the needs of its target market including any vulnerable consumers to ensure good customers’ outcomes in regard to affordability & sustainability.
Desired Skills
- Strong experience with Selenium in C#.
- Experience with Reqnroll (formerly SpecFlow).
- Experience using the Page Object Model design pattern.
- Good experience crafting robust element locators (e.g. CSS selectors) and following best practices.
- Experience debugging tests locally and using the browser devtools / console.
