We have an exciting opportunity for dedicated Social Workers to be based within our Support & Protect Teams. We are looking for motivated, hard-working, and dedicated people to join our teams to help develop and deliver exceptional service to improve outcomes for childrenand families in Westmorland and Furness.

The Role

The role is very varied as we work with families on a short-term basis whilst completing assessments and on a longer term basis working Child in Need Plans and Child Protection Plans and, in some cases, we complete pre proceedings work and issue care proceedings. We work with all young people from birth up to the age of 18 having strong links with other agencies externally and teams in Westmorland.

Who we are looking for…

We are looking for Social Workers with a ‘can do’ attitude who are child focussed, like to think outside of the box and are creative in their planning with children. We are looking for people who share our vision and ambition and have the ability to inspire the trust and confidence of professionals across a range of agencies. We are keen recruit those who have successful experience in a similar role and a good knowledge of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
