What You Will Do
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with children, young people, and their families through direct casework and supervision.
  • Deliver comprehensive social work services in line with relevant legislation and procedures.
  • Conduct assessments to identify risk factors and suggest ideas for best practice in child protection.
  • Collaborate with senior managers to discuss and address concerns about at-risk children/young people.
  • Challenge discrimination and promote equality, ensuring that service users and carers are empowered to express their needs.
  • Manage child protection casework and provide written and verbal evidence for care plans.
  • Lead meetings to review and evaluate care planning, ensuring actions are effectively implemented.
  • Communicate clearly in various settings, such as case conferences, planning meetings, and court appearance if required.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and represent the Team on behalf of service users when needed.
