We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Social Worker within the North Community Team in Shropshire, UK. This locum position offers a competitive hourly wage of £32.67 and is available from 19th January 2026 to 31st March 2026. The role requires a 37-hour work week with standard hours from 09:00 to 17:30. It is essential that the candidate is a confident driver due to the location requirements, working across Market Drayton TF9 3AH and Oswestry offices SY11 1JR on a hybrid basis – spending three days per week in the office.

What you will do:

  • Conduct assessments and develop care plans for individuals and families within the community.
  • Provide expert advice and support to individuals experiencing crisis situations, working collaboratively with other agencies and professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of interactions and progress, using this information to inform ongoing care and intervention strategies.
  • Coordinate with team members and external partners to ensure cohesive and integrated service delivery.
  • Engage in case conferences and meetings to ensure a community-wide approach to support and intervention.
