Job description

Phoenix is a 6‑year‑old boy who lives with his parents and older brother in Newcastle. He loves music, numbers, being outdoors and spending time in parks and swimming.

He has Autism and ADHD and can become frustrated when transitioning between activities.

When outdoors he has a tendency to run off so a PA must be vigilant and keep him safe.

We are seeking a personal assistant to provide care, companionship and support to Phoenix.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing safe and supportive care for Phoenix, including supervising him during outdoor activities.
  • Driving Phoenix to various locations with mileage reimbursed.
  • Assisting with daily tasks such as filling forms, paying bills, shopping.
  • Maintaining a smoke‑free environment and respecting personal boundaries.
  • Being flexible for extra hours on short notice.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in caring for children with Autism or ADHD.
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to drive.
  • Satisfactory DBS check and references upon offer.
  • Permission to work in the UK.
  • Enthusiastic with a genuine interest in working with children.
