• Perform cleaning and disinfection of pipework systems in accordance with BS 8558:2011.

Base pay range

PH Water & Air Technologies is recruiting a Small Works Engineer within their Water Hygiene/Water Treatment Division. You’ll need to be fully conversant with HSG274/ACOP L8 guidelines as your experience working within the Water Hygiene/Water Treatment sector will be fully utilised. You’ll work closely with colleagues on various sites in and around London so if you reside no more than a two‑hour commute into London, this would be ideal.

We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays, a company vehicle, a financial loyalty bonus and other benefits. Overtime can add up to £12,000 per annum.

What you’ll be doing

• Conduct visual inspections of water systems, including water sampling and analysis of closed systems using a site test kit
• Inspect and service thermostatic mixer valves (TMVs)
• Carry out chemical dosing of water systems
• Perform cleaning and disinfection of pipework systems, cold‑water storage tanks, and cooling towers in accordance with BS 8558:2011

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, technical ability, and some plumbing experience
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm for the company and role, and ability to work unsupervised while overcoming challenges
• Confidently discuss technical issues and accurately record detailed engineer’s reports and logbooks
• Capable of physical work (lifting, carrying, climbing) and holds a full UK driving license
