We are currently recruiting for a Pit Bottom Man / Slinger to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of yourself and those around you.
• Control pit bottom area during lifting operations and manage the exclusion zone.
• Inspect lifting equipment prior to use and report any damaged or worn equipment to the supervisor and quarantine.
• Ensure all plant and materials are slung correctly and lifted safely in line with the approved lift plan.
• Ensure radio communication with the top man and crane operator is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

• Valid Confined Spaces Ticket or a CPCS Slingers Ticket.
• TEEPS & TSTS is a big advantage but not necessary.
• Tunnelling experience.
