Job summary

A leading food production company in Rochdale is seeking a maintenance engineer to manage site services equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Your role involves performing routine maintenance, resolving faults, and collaborating with contractors. Responsibilities

  • Maintain site services equipment and compliance with legislation.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance of site plant.
  • Identify and resolve faults across systems.
  • Support refrigeration systems and perform reactive maintenance.
  • Liaise with external contractors to ensure compliance.
  • Work at height following safety protocols.
  • Keep records of inspections and activities.
  • Collaborate with departments to improve reliability.
  • Engage with contractors for permits and safety documents.

Skills

Site services or maintenance engineering experience
Technical knowledge of electrical systems
Technical knowledge of mechanical systems
Familiarity with ammonia refrigeration systems
Contractor management experience
Ability to work at height
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Experience using SAP CMMS
Willingness to work split shifts

Education

NVQ Level 3 or above
