A leading dairy company in the UK is looking for a Site Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist to enhance EHS practices at their Lockerbie site. The role ensures compliance with health and safety standards while managing initiatives for continuous improvement. Due to an internal promotion, Arla Foods Lockerbie are looking to recruit a Site Environmental, Health, & Safety Specialist on a permanent basis.
It’s an incredible time to become part of our Lockerbie site. We’re investing heavily in the future, with over £180 million dedicated to transforming our operations and facilities. Recent developments include a £22 million Energy Centre housing our state-of-the‑art Effluent Treatment Plant and Anaerobic Digestate Plant, and a £42 million project delivering a brand‑new cheese VAT room alongside a modern office block complete with a gym.
And we’re not stopping there—our £120 million “TopHat” project is underway, building a cutting‑edge factory to produce UHT milk, LactoFree products, and McDonald’s shakes. This investment will create around 90 new roles and position Lockerbie as an official “Centre of Dairy Excellence”.

Reporting to the Senior QEHS Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities on site, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a key part in fostering a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace and supporting operational excellence.

We’re looking for an individual with experience in FMCG or other relevant industries, such as manufacturing, construction, chemicals, or water. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong health, safety, and environmental management expertise and have a proven track record of working on large‑scale, complex sites.
