Job summary

A leading environmental and sustainability firm in Prestwick, Scotland seeks an EHS Specialist on a 12-month contract. The role involves supporting management and employees to ensure high standards of Environmental, Health, and Safety performance, preparing technical reports, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety, possess strong communication skills, and have experience in an engineering environment. This position offers a pay rate of £30.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety or Environmental Management.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Desirable experience working within an engineering or mechanical maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide practical support to management and employees to achieve a high EHS standard.
  • Ensure alignment with EHS requirements and compliance with regional regulations.
  • Prepare compliance and technical reports to meet EHS regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary EHS point of contact on site.
  • Conduct program reviews, investigate incidents, and provide corrective actions.

Skills

Strong verbal and written English communication skills
Experience in an engineering or mechanical maintenance environment

Education
