Job summary

A growing energy solution provider in the UK is seeking a professional to undertake pre-construction assessments and prepare essential information following CDM2015 guidelines for their EV charging station projects. Qualifications

  • Experience as an experienced CAD operator for producing site plans.
  • Understanding of power distribution network operations and grid connections.
  • Experience with EV charging deployments is preferred.

Job description

In response to the rapid growth in sites being developed as our client rolls out its portfolio of destination based charging stations we are excited to recruit this new position.

The role will play a critical role in undertaking initial site assessments and the preparation of pre-construction information as we follow the CDM2015 guidelines.

The key responsibilities of the role:

In addition to producing higher quality pre construction information for our delivery partners the following deliverables and benefits would be seen;

  • Charger configuration details (current and future demand).
  • Proposed charger locations illustrated as CAD files
  • Initial assessment of risks and delivery issues raised through initial engagement with the landowner/representative.
  • Budgetary build costs to support early site evaluation and commercial viability.
  • Detailed knowledge of sites to support internal and external reviews
  • Provide high quality information that our Partnership team can use to maintain communication and plans with landlords and stakeholders
  • Ensure that when sites go into construction phase the Construction Director has a body of high quality and accurate site history information.
  • Assistance with site inspections to ensure safety and compliance on site and to assist Construction Director and/or Construction managers.
  • Build relationships with site providers/landlords.
  • Build relationships with delivery partners and feedback on performance/accuracy of designs.

Whilst the role sits in the Operations team the role holder will work across the wider team and supporting the engagement with our delivery partners.

  • Degree or relevant professional qualification preferred.
  • Experienced CAD operator for the production of site plans/drawings.
  • Experience of working within or aligned to the power distribution network operator, (DNO), sector and provision of new grid connections.
  • Experience developing budgetary build estimates.
  • Ideally having experience in the deployment of EV charging or similar solutions.
  • Full driving licence.
